Vision

Our vision is to tackle today’s most significant health problems by accelerating the steps from scientific discovery to better health, producing benefits for patients and people across diverse populations, the NHS and the economy.

We were delighted to hear in summer 2022 that our application for a further five years of funding had been accepted by the Department of Health & Social Care, who have awarded us £86.2 million to support our health research to 2028.

This award will fund research in 13 themes (medical areas) as well as support training of the next generation of translational researchers, including supporting early career research researchers to become future leaders.
