The Zooniverse is the world’s largest online platform for participatory research, allowing anyone to help scientists with their work.
In this webinar, Philip Fowler shares the story of BashTheBug, a project that enlisted public help to improve how we diagnose and treat bacterial infections. By showing volunteers images of tuberculosis samples, the project successfully crowdsourced over 4.7 million classifications from 46,000 volunteers.
