Introducing Creative Public Health
Wednesday, 4 March, 2026 – 14:30 to 15:30 Online
This online seminar introduces Creative Public Health as an emerging, cross-disciplinary field at the intersection of participatory arts, museums, hospital arts, critical practice, and research in action.
Drawing on live examples from healthcare, cultural institutions, and academic research, speakers will explore how creative practices can act as active ingredients in improving health and wellbeing, and the principles which inform their practice.
The session will consider how creativity can be harnessed not only for expression, but as a powerful tool for addressing health inequalities and shaping more equitable, healthier communities.
The seminar will be led by:
- Dr Emily Bradfield – Practitioner Research Associate: Collections & Wellbeing (Older Adults), The Fitzwilliam Museum, University of Cambridge
- Natalie Ellis – Head of Arts, Cambridge University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust
