The National Institute for Health Research (NIHR) is the UK’s largest funder of health and care research. Its mission – to improve the health and the wealth of the nation through research – is shared across all its constituent programmes, units and centres.
Tackling COVID TACTICally!
That’s the title of the online talk with live Q&A that NIHR Cambridge BRC hosted on 1 April.
Consultant Rheumatologist and researcher Dr Frances Hall was joined live by Professors Ian Wilkinson and John Bradley to discuss the TACTIC-R trial, which is testing if two drugs currently prescribed for rheumatoid arthritis and rare blood disorders can also help Covid patients.
The video from the event is now live on the NIHR Cambridge BRC YouTube channel. Click to download a transcript.
TACTICs for fighting COVID
Don’t forget to tell the children in your family about our animation starring cartoon characters Baz and Rav, also on YouTube!
This follows Baz and Rav as they take part in the TACTIC-R trial to make patients better. There’s also an activity sheet to go with the cartoon – you can download it here. A transcript of the animation is also available: download it here.
