The NIHR Cambridge Biomedical Research Centre recognises the importance of training the next generation of academic clinicians and biomedical scientists.
We support research training fellowships, attracting the most able clinicians, non-medical Health Care Professionals and scientists to pursue PhDs in translational and biomedical research. Fellows cover all medical disciplines and support is provided through mentoring. On the links below, you will find staff who the Cambridge Biomedical Research Centre are currently supporting.
A number of fellowships are established by the Addenbrooke’s Charitable Trust (ACT) and the NIHR Cambridge Biomedical Research Centre (BRC) to provide funding for non-medical healthcare professionals to gain experience and conduct preliminary research, to allow them to compete. The video features Dr Menna Clatworthy, Theme lead for Capacity Building, Professor Christi Deaton, Professor of Nursing and Ann-Marie Ingle, former Chief Nurse at Cambridge University Hospitals discussing the fellowships.
