Patient and Public Involvement and Engagement (PPIE) opportunities in Imaging

Do you want to have a say in the cancer imaging research that is important to patients – and should be prioritised?

Or how we raise awareness of research through community outreach?

Or even support study and trial design?

You can do all this and more when you join the Cambridge Radiology and Cancer Imaging PPI group.

Working with patients and the public to make our research better

This group was set up in March 2025, when researchers from our Imaging theme held a launch event for what is now known as the Cambridge Radiology and Cancer Imaging PPI group.

More than 50 members of the public attended the event, to find out more about why cancer imaging research is so critical and how their involvement can shape the direction of the Cambridge Radiology and Cancer Imaging Programme.

How to join

This is a lively group of local people who are interested in cancer imaging research and want to make a difference to the quality of cancer research and patient care.

Anyone aged 18+ with experience of cancer imaging as a patient or carer (including friends and family) is welcome to enquire about joining the group.
