To help celebrate 20 years of NIHR, Cambridge BRC along with other NIHR infrastructures within the East of England: Applied Research Collaboration East of England, NIHR East of England Regional Research Delivery Network, NIHR HealthTech Research Centre in Brain Injury, NIHR Clinical Research Facility, Cambridge and Norwich, and NIHR Blood and Transplant Research Unit in Organ Donation & Transplantation, NIHR Blood and Transplant Research Unit in Donor Health & Behaviour, Cambridge Stem Cell Institute, Institute of Metabolic Science and the Clinical School of Medicine, University of Cambridge are hosting a joint showcase of patient and public involvement (PPI) in health research across the East of England.

NIHR has championed a system where people, communities and professionals shape outcomes. We are pioneers in patient and public involvement (PPI), ensuring that people from all backgrounds and communities actively shape research agendas and priorities.

Taking place on Tuesday 16 June 2026 at the Jeffrey Cheah Biomedical Centre on the Cambridge Biomedical Campus, it will be day of short talks and presentations from researchers showing the impact PPI has had on their health research.

There will also be a poster display, co-developed or presented with public contributors, and panel discussion on tissue donation, highlighting the role of PPI in laboratory-based and health data research.
