PPI in Discovery & Pre-clinical research panel discussion event

This event is led by the University of Cambridge, the Institute of Metabolic Science-Metabolic Research Laboratories (IMS-MRL) and Cambridge Stem Cell Institute

An in-person panel discussion and open Q&A, on Patient and Public Involvement (PPI) for laboratory-based health research and health data research in the Seminar room.

Focusing on involving patients and the public in research that happens before clinical trials, which is often referred to as basic, fundamental, or laboratory-based research. This involvement aims to ensure research is relevant, beneficial, and focuses on issues important to the people who could be affected by the research outcomes.

This event is for basic scientists, lab-based and pre-clinical and health data research staff. Members of the public interested in science are also welcome!

Our panellists will delve into the effective methods and highlight great examples of PPI in the research cycle for pre-clinical health research.

With coffee and tea in the Atrium, 30 minutes either side of the event. You will be able to check out our posters and chat with research staff.
