Funding call for NIHR Cambridge BRC-wide Pump Priming Awards 2025

Do you have a research idea with translational and collaborative potential, where there is clinical need with a clear route to clinical impact and commercial potential?

Do you have a plan for patient involvement in your research, particularly patients outside Cambridge and addressing Equality, Diversity and Inclusion (EDI) or health inequalities?

Then make sure you apply for the NIHR Cambridge BRC-wide Pump-Priming Awards 2025, which is offering awards of up to £25,000 (and up to £50,000 in exceptional circumstances).

The funding call closes on Wednesday 18th June 5pm for submission to Theme Leads, and is open to all staff across the NIHR Cambridge BRC partnership organisations, including University of Cambridge, Cambridge University Hospitals, Anglia Ruskin University, University of East Anglia, Cambridgeshire & Peterborough Foundation Trust and Royal Papworth Hospital.

We particularly encourage applications led by early- to mid-career researchers, and from nursing, allied health professionals, psychologists, pharmacists, healthcare scientist staff groups and other healthcare professionals.

You do not need to have an NIHR Cambridge BRC theme affiliation to apply; in which case you should contact Caroline Reynolds, NIHR Cambridge BRC Programme Manager cmmr2@cam.ac.uk in the first instance.

For full guidance for applicants, including what the call will and will not fund, Equality, Diversity and Inclusion (EDI) requirements, reporting and monitoring, IP and commercialisation and criteria please visit our dedicated pump-priming funding call page on our website.
